Summer Solstice

The Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere (Winter Solstice in the northern hemisphere), occurs on the 22nd December and is the longest day of the year. It represents the onset of a new season (summer). The Summer Solstice reminds us that nothing lasts forever. It is a time of letting go and acceptance. It is a time to remember to be fully in the present moment. The Summer Solstice gives you an opportunity to embrace culmination and achievement and is a climax of a cycle of growth. The sun is most potent on the Summer Solstice and is recognised as a time of powerful healing. It is a time to reconnect with yourself and the natural world.
