Mind power is one of the strongest and most useful powers that you possess. This power, together with your imagination, can create success or failure, happiness or unhappiness, opportunities or obstacles. This depends on your mindset.
Mind power is composed of your intention, attention, your mental images and your thoughts. Your thoughts are the main ingredient of this power, and when you add to them intention, focus and emotions, thoughts become powerful and can affect your reality. The thoughts that pass through your mind are responsible for almost everything that happens in your life.
Thoughts are energy. Though subtle and invisible, they can affect reality. Your mind power plays an important role in creative visualisation and the law of attraction. Your attention, interest and enthusiasm is what makes thoughts powerful. Your thoughts affect your subconscious mind, which in turn, influences your actions in accordance with these thoughts. When you focus on your dreams and goals, you will attract into your life, people who are in a position to help you achieve your dreams.
The power of your mind is part of the creative power of the Universe, which means that your thoughts work together with it. When you repeat the same thoughts over and over, this power helps you make your thoughts come true. Actions, situations and objects that you visualise frequently, eventually manifest on the material plane in a natural way. Your thoughts and imagination determine whether you fail or achieve success. They determine the events you attract into your life and the people you meet.
Thoughts and emotions also have a profound effect on one another. Thoughts can trigger emotions and also serve as an appraisal of that emotion. Certain types of mental training such as mindfulness and positive thinking can affect our perceptions of the world and our emotions (ie feel calmer and happy).
Changing the way you think and taking charge of what occupies your mind, can improve your physical health and well-being. While positive thinking may not cure everything, a healthy mindset is a key component to a healthy body. A number of studies have shown that the placebo effect influences the effectiveness of treatment. If someone tells you a pill will cure your headache, you are likely to find the treatment helpful even if the pill was a sugar pill. Whether you are trying physical therapy for a bad knee, or you are seeing a chiropractor for back pain, your belief that those treatments will work may be more effective than the treatment themselves.
A belief is a thought you repeated persistently, be it conscious or not, until it was passed down to your subconscious mind and became part of the core beliefs of your personal belief system. Your beliefs confirm and justify the way you think. The same applies to your feelings. Your thoughts about a specific event give rise to corresponding feelings. And those feelings then affirm your thoughts about the event and the one sustains the other.
It is the subconscious mind that controls all vital functions of the body, including breathing and the beating of your heart. The mind healing powers also lie in the subconscious. It is your subconscious brain that orders cells in the body to create disease, repair damage or heal. And as long as the materials and functions for creating and maintaining healthy cells are available, it can instantly provide what the cells need to carry out these orders.
Your thoughts are a catalyst for self-perpetuating cycles. What you think directly influences how you feel and how you behave. So if you think you are a failure, you will feel like a failure. Then you will act like a failure, which reinforces your belief that you must be a failure. Once you draw a conclusion about yourself, you are likely to look for evidence that reinforces your belief and discount anything that runs contrary to your belief. Someone who develops the belief that he’s a failure for example, will view each mistake as proof that he’s not good enough. Creating a more positive outlook can can lead to better outcomes.
Your mind is very powerful and your thoughts are key to creating your reality.
